Frank J. Baker of Bridgeton (age 25) has been charged with Homicide; Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose; and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon in connection with the shooting death of Jair Rennie (male – age 22) of Bridgeton. The homicide occurred at a residence on Longview Drive in Fairfield Township on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at approximately 2:09 pm. Baker shot Rennie multiple times before fleeing the area. Baker was apprehended and lodged in the Cumberland County Jail.
Frank Baker, 3rd , of Cedarville (age 50, father to Frank J. Baker) was charged with two counts of Tampering with a Witness; Hindering Apprehension; Obstruction; and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Baker, 3rd was also lodged in the Cumberland County Jail.
The initial investigation was conducted by the New Jersey State Police Homicide South Unit and Troop A Criminal Investigation Office.
