Canine Clif was struck and killed on October 10, 2011 by a vehicle after completing a search for a burglary suspect.
Clif and his handler, Sgt. William Bontcue were standing in the front yard of a home when an elderly woman swerved to avoid striking a uniformed officer in the road. Her car drove up onto the lawn and struck Clif, causing fatal injuries.
Clif hailed from the Czech Republic and began his service to the Vineland Police Department in 2008.
We thank Clif for making the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of the community. ...
