State v. Jeffrey Profitt – Guilty Plea

On January 10, 2020 Defendant Jeffrey Profitt, formerly of Millville, pled guilty before the Honorable Robert G. Malestein, J.S.C. to third degree aggravated assault upon A.W. which assault occurred on April 11, 2016 in the City of Millville.  In return for the guilty plea, the State agreed to recommend probation including a term of 364 days in the County Jail.  The terms also include resignation by the defendant from his position as a police officer with the City of Millville Police Department and forfeiture of future public employment in the State of New Jersey.

The sentence date is February 14, 2020.  The State of New Jersey is represented by Harold B. Shapiro, First Assistant Prosecutor.  The defendant is represented by Michael L. Testa, Sr., Esquire.
